Rune |
Our story begins shortly before Rune's 21st birthday. He is the heir prince of Valheigh, the kingdom adjacent to the Wizard's Wall.
When Rune was 12 years old, his father (King Edgar Beowald) sent him to his mother's homeland to train with the legendary weaponsmasters there. Rune was supposed to return to Valheigh after four years, but when King Edgar died unexpectedly, Rune decided it was safer to stay abroad until he was old enough to claim the throne. |

Justin is Rune's Cardinal Knight, responsible for his personal safety. The two have been friends their entire lives. |

Lord Redley |
Lord Jonathan Redley has been ruling Valheigh as Rune's regent since the death of King Edgar Beowald, who was his closest friend. He is the head of House Redley. |

Lord Hawthorne |
Lord Neville Hawthorne is the head of House Hawthorne and aspires to reclaim the throne for his House. The kingdom of Valheigh was founded by his ancestor, Kenneth Hawthorne, when he united the seven warring tribes that became the noble Houses. |
